Desktop Publishing--Foundation Standards

The foundation standard I chose from Desktop publishing is; The student uses data input skills appropriate to the task and is expected to:

"Demonstrate proficiency in the use of a variety of input devices such as a mouse, keyboard, disk/disc, modem, scanner, voice/sound recorder, or digital camera by appropriately incorporating such components into the produce,"

I chose this one because with out the knowledge and skills of what these devices do, the student will be lost. It is important that the student beable to identify the hardware and learn to navigate using the tools to produce a quality product. Students must know how to input data in order to see the final product.

Here is a link that gives a list of input/output and storage devices. http://www.ziplink.net/~teachcte/comp-rel/misc/in-out1.htm
